School of the Arts Offer

Dances From Around the World 4 & 5 year-olds

 

From February 8th to March 31st,

4 & 5 year-olds are invited to pack their bags, including their dance slippers, to embark on an adventure with teacher LeslieKettlewell that will introduce them to a diverse selection of countries and regions, such as China, Russia, Africa and the Caribbean, making unique cultures come alive through stories, dance, and music. The National Museums of Dance’s School of the Arts will hold this exciting class on

Mondays from 1-2pm and/or Wednesdays, 10-11am.

The total cost is $88.00 for attendance at one session per week.

Dance teacher Leslie Kettlewell specializes in creative movement and pre-ballet. She graduated from Skidmore College with a concentration in dance and a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She studied with Melissa Hayden, a former soloist with the New York City Ballet; in Cannes, France with famed Rosella Hightower; and at the Laban School, University of London. Before moving to the area, she taught dance in South Carolina and Michigan. Leslie now teaches at several area locations including the Beagle School, the Saratoga Arts Center and School of the Arts

 

The School of the Arts is a not–for- profit organization with a focus on teaching professional quality dance technique within a low-pressure environment.  Under the auspices of SPAC, and an extension of The National Museum of Dance, the SOA mission is to foster the study and appreciation of dance.
