"In a Labyrinth: The Dance of Butoh"
Opening Reception: March 27, 2010 from 7:00-9:00p.m.
A black and white photography exhibit by internationally recognized photographer Michael Manheim. Manheim's photography features professional Butoh dancers - a dance genre stemming from post-war Japan. The exhibit will also include video and background information on Butoh itself, allowing the audience a better platform to view Manheim's photography.

Dance +20 Festival. Sunday March 28TH
Dance Alliance 20th Anniversary Festival offering unique classes in diverse styles of dance! The Dance Alliance & Skidmore College Dance Department have teamed up with the National Museum of Dance to sponsor the 20thFestival. The festival will feature 22 different classes in ballet, modern, ethnic, jazz, tap, social dance, yoga, and body workshops. New this year we will have a lecture series on diverse topics ranging from injury prevention to burnout in dance class. The classes will be offered at the introductory through the advanced level with 18 different teachers and musicians.
Class offerings will include Chinese Ribbon & Belly Dancing, Zumba, Musical Theater Jazz, Yoga, Hip-Hop, Tap, and Conditioning. There are specific classes designed for children ranging in age from 7 to 12, teens, adult beginners, and the experienced dancer. Guest artists, area teachers, and the Skidmore dance faculty will teach the sessions.
The event will be held at the National Museum of Dance from 10:00am to 5:45pm on Sunday March 28th.
Fees Pre-paid /At the door : $ 35/$45; Students/Seniors $30/$35 for ; $15 /class; and $5/$8 each children's class.
