Alfred Z. Solomon Children's Wing

The Alfred Z. Solomon Children's Wing is nearing completion and is now open and ready for visitors. In the space, kids are able to do a variety of activities, including reading, watching films, playing dress up, hula-hooping, performing on stage, and of course, using their imaginations to the fullest.

Call for Children's Art

As a new gallery is opened, it will be designated for artwork created by K-12 youth that is either dance specific or correlates to one of our current exhibit topics. The gallery welcomes groups of any size; whether it is an after school elementary art club or an outstanding high school junior or senior interested in exhibiting their own series. If you are interested please contact Donna Skiff, donna@dancemuseum.org, as soon as possible with the following information: Instructor Name, Class Size, Average Age of Group, a one paragraph Project Proposal, and the Instructor’s General Contact Info.

Call for Lecturers

The museum is seeking people interested in giving short talks about international dance or about their international country of origin. Please contact Donna Skiff, donna@dancemuseum.org if you are interested or know someone who might be.

Dancing Around the World Event Series

With the installation of a the exhibit, Postage Paid: Dance Around the World, the museum will be hosting a series of international events. The international events will teach guests about local dances, food, & culture from different featured areas.

Resource Room Now Open!

The National Museum of Dance Resource Room is a newly organized and substantial collection of dance books, periodicals, programs, posters, and other memorabilia. The Resource Room is now open to the public on Thursdays and Saturdays from 11am to 2pm. Come take a look around at the large assortment of dance materials.
