Rubén Graciani
Rubén Graciani graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts where he majored in
Modern Dance. After receiving his high school degree, Graciani studied in New
York City at the Juilliard School, the Martha Graham Company, and the Merce Cunningham
Dance Company. He earned a B.F.A. in Dance at the State University of New York Purchase College.
He has danced with the Kevin Wynn Collection, The Mark Morris Dance Group,
CityDance Ensemble, the Brian Brooks Moving Company, Company Stefanie Batten-Bland,
and the Joe Goode Performance Group, among many others. Graciani received his M.F.A.
from the University of Maryland College Park where he presented nine works of
choreography for the Maryland Dance Ensemble. He has been on the faculty at Ohio
University, and is currently an Associate Professor at Skidmore College in Saratoga
Springs, NY. He is the Artistic Director and Choreographer of RG Dance Projects, and
has collaborated with award winning composers, Richard Danielpour, John Orfe, and Carl
Landa. His work has been presented in Ohio, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware,
New York City, and Shanghai, China. Mr. Graciani currently serves as a Dance Panelist
for the NY State Council of the Arts.
