Alexander Dubé
As Executive Director of Career Transition For Dancers, Mr. Alexander J. Dubé has the
responsibility for all day-to-day management issues of the organization, including all
program planning and implementation, human resource management, financial management,
fundraising, board relations, and Executive Producer of the organization's annual gala
fundraiser. Mr. Dubé has had an extensive career in management, including executive
positions with Tiffany & Company, Hurok Concerts, Dubé Zakin Management and, most
recently, as the first Dance Administrator for the American Guild of Musical Artists
(AGMA). After retiring from AGMA in 1998, Mr. Dubé concentrated on his volunteer role
as treasurer of the Board of Directors at Career Transition For Dancers. He came out
of retirement in 2001 to take on the position of Executive Director of the organization.
A lifelong dance aficionado, Mr. Dubé is an expert on ballet and modern dance, including
history, choreography, and schools, as well as the design and construction of dance
floors. In addition to his work with Career Transition For Dancers, Mr. Dubé was
co-founder and treasurer of the Performing Arts Center for Health (PACH) in New York.
