I've Got a Home

  • December 3, 2011 through February 26, 2012
  • The National Museum of Dance Southeast Gallery will be hosting a unique collection of photographs for exhibition, by local based artist Daesha Devón Harris. This show will run through February 26 and will be available for viewing Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm in the museum's Southeast Gallery. Please enter museum through Office Entrace as main entrance is closed for the winter.

The exhibition, I've Got a Home, highlights the historic and contemporary contributions of people of color while concurrently explores the concept of "Home" and realization of the American Dream. Twenty-two color photographs from the series have been selected in this introspective view of the "life" that continues to evolve amidst struggle and success in Harris' increasingly gentrified hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY. This exhibit invites the viewer to contemplate each of the contributors' unique relationship with, history of and presence in the Spa City.
