SARATOGA EN POINTE UNVEILING
& HALL OF FAME GRAND OPENING

Twenty-four local artists have decorated five foot tall pointe shoe sculptures that will soon be placed in their permanent homes around the city of Saratoga Springs. We invite you to join us for the unveiling of these sculptures at the National Museum of Dance.
This evening will also mark the Grand Opening of the fully renovated and dazzling Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Hall of Fame through donations from Marylou Whitney and John Hendrickson. Anna Pavlova will also be inducted as the 49th member of the Hall of Fame.
Victorian Dance & Music event

The Warder Cadbury 19th Century Music and Dance Event, co-sponsored by the National Museum of Dance and the Saratoga Springs Public Library to celebrate the gift of the Warder Cadbury Music Collection from the National Museum of Dance’s archives to the Saratoga Room Historical Collection. The celebration includes selected music played by the Saratoga Springs Youth Orchestra led by Maestro Gioacchino Longobardi; Jacqueline Royal, 19thC music specialist and pianist and Susan McLane, The Victorian Lady, Victorian cultural educator. Thomas Baird, 19thC dance historian, reconstruct performer and teacher of Baroque music. Marc Casslar, Director, Vintage Dance Society and his dancers in costumes will be performing historic dances typical of this period. This is a free event with refreshments served.
Andrew devries homage to dance opening reception
June 28 at 6:30pm
Join us at the reception for internationally recognized artist Andrew DeVries to celebrate his largest exhibition to date, Homage to Dance. The exhibition features a collection of 40 bronze sculptures and 20 pastel drawings. Come celebrate Andrew's exhilarating work and his partnership with the museum.
For this special occasion he will unveil Destiny, his most recent sculpture in bronze, a dance portrait inspired last summer while drawing at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival.
