Donate to the Museum

Make a donation today to support us in all that we do & to help us continue providing educational exhibits.

The Museum relies heavily on the generous donations of many people and without these donations we could not obtain our goals. All amounts are greatly appreciated and make a huge difference for us as a small non-profit organization. Thank you for your support!

The Museum houses the C. V. Whitney Hall of Fame, one of two permanent exhibits, established in the museum’s first year to illustrate the contributions of choreographers, teachers, artists, directors and others, both living and dead, who have and continue to help shape dance in all areas. In 2009, Tommy Tune, Edward Villella, Suzanne Farrell, and Frankie Manning were inducted into the Hall of Fame. In 2010 the museum will induct Michael Jackson. The museum has rotating exhibits through out the year.

The Swyer Studios
The founders of the museum agreed that dance practice sessions, rehearsals, new choreography, and performance should be a part of the museum’s life, and thus established the Lewis A. Swyer Studios in 1989. An integral part of the museum’s connection to the dance community, the studios allows choreographers, teachers and tomorrow’s performers a venue for study and demonstration. The Swyer studios are home to the School of the Arts Program, offering many styles of dance for all ages and abilities. The studios host New York State Summer School Arts programs in July and August providing intensive pre-professional training with acclaimed artists and artistic companies.

Donations will ensure that the museum's goals are obtained. Your donations are tax deductible.

Thank you to all of our museum supporters.
